Yoga Therapist based in Athens Greece
Eleana is a Social Worker and holds a master degree in Art therapy and another in Special Education. Her working experience is focused on psychosocial support, empowerment, supportive social work and counselling with diverse socially excluded groups. She is also the owner of Kefalonian Retreats, a small hotel with amazing views to the Ionian Sea and the mountain of Ainos.
She started practicing yoga, as a student, in different yoga studios and she soon became very passionate about Yoga. That opened a door for her to attend a couple of yoga teacher training courses. She is a 300h Hatha (Abhaya) Yoga teacher and she also holds a “Yoga for Children with Autism & Special Needs” Training diploma (Level 1 – 25 hour) with Shawnee Thornton Hardy as a teacher.
Her personal practise is Viniyoga inspired and she is currently studying to become a Yoga Therapist, participating in yoga therapy training in the tradition of T. Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar.
She believes in yoga as a tool to look within ourselves and as a way to create a state of observation, in which we are fully present in every action of our life. Her teaching goal is to make yoga accessible to everyone.
